Baruntse Expedition is an adventure for climbers who wishing to summit over 7000 meters peak located heart of khumbu Himalayan range. Baruntse ridge is surrounded by some of the most famous peaks of the world Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Ama Dablam  and at the far northern end is The Hinku Valley one of the most wild valley of Nepal.
Baruntse was first ascended by Colin Todd and Geoff Harrow by South-East ridge in year 1954. Baruntse Base Camp is located very near to Panch Pokhari at the height of 5400m. The mountain can be reached about 11 days trekking from Lukla by crossing the beautiful mountain pass Mera-La (5450m) and wildest Hinku and Hunku valley. The best time for expedition is spring (March-June) and autumn (September – November) season. The second route to Baruntse base camp is to climb through Arun valley and Makalu Base camp.
Him Ganga Treks establishes two camps above the base camp. The first camp is set up just below East Col at an altitude of 5,700m and the second camp  is on the South – East Ridge at a height of 6,420m before we ascend to the summit. Trip Itinerary

 Day 01: Arrive in Katmandu and transfer to Hotel.
 Day 02: Preparation,Expedition Blessing day and visit.
 Day 03: Kathmandu-Lukla flight and 3-4 hrs trek to Paiya en camp.
 Day 04: Paiya-Pangom 5-6 hrs trek en camp.
 Day 05: Pangom-Taktabook 5-6 hrs trek en camp.
 Day 06: Taktabook-Bamboo camp 5-6 hrs trek en camp.
 Day 07: Bamboo camp-Kote 5-6 hrs trek en camp.
 Day 08: Kote-Thangna 5-hrs trek en camp.
 Day 09: Rest day and acclimatation day.
 Day 10: Thangna-Khare 3-4 hrs trek en camp.
 Day 11: Khare-Kongma Dingma 5-6 hrs trek en camp.
 Day 12: Kongma Dingma-Setopokhari en camp.
 Day 13: Seto Pokhari-Baruntse base camp.
 Day 14: Expedition Blessing day and rest.
 Day 15-29: day climbing period.
 Day 30: Baruntse base camp-Amphulaptsa base camp 4-5 hrs trek en camp.
 Day 31: Amphulaptsa B C-Chukung 6-7 hrs trek en lodge.

Trip Inclusion

  • Nepal entry visa fee (you obtain a visa easily upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport Kathmandu). You will require 2 passport size photos.
